Diana Bruzzone enters her first season as an assistant coach for the volleyball team under Head Coach Alan Clements at Mercy College.
Hailing from Guayaquil, Ecuador, Bruzzone returns to her alma mater, where she starred as a member of the volleyball team from 2005-08.
While Bruzzone’s coaching experience is limited to the Half Moon Volleyball Club/GEVA Tournaments in 2007, she has extensive experience as a player at the collegiate, state and national levels.
While at Mercy, Bruzzone earned numerous awards, including several Rookie and Player of the Week awards, the Mercy College Model of Consistency award in 2008 and being named to the NCAA All-Academic team in 2007 and 2008 and several All-Tournament teams.
Prior to her career at Mercy, Bruzzone participated in youth tournaments in Argentina (2003) and Peru (2004) for the Ecuador state volleyball team and was a member of the Ecuador National team, playing in several championships across South America in 2005.
Bruzzone is pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy from Mercy College and expects to graduate in 2013.
