Mercy College's Diana Bruzzone Named ECAC Division II Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Junior outside hitter Diana Bruzzone (Guayaquil, Ecuador) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced on Wednesday.

This is Bruzzone's second award of the week as she also earned East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors.

Last week Bruzzone led the Mavericks to a five-set victory over Concordia College. She notched 21 kills for a .442 hitting percentage while adding 16 digs and four service aces. Bruzzone also excelled in the match against Bridgeport. She recorded 12 kills and 20 digs.

For the season, Bruzzone leads the team in digs per set with 4.55 and is second in kills per set with 2.58. She has a team-best 36 service aces this season.

The Mavericks (7-21, 2-13 ECC) will finish off its regular season schedule with a match at Molloy College on Thursday, November 6.
