Mercy College's Diana Bruzzone Earns ECC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Junior outside hitter Diana Bruzzone (Guayaquil, Ecuador) earned East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors, as announced on Monday.

Last week she averaged a team-best 4.12 kills per set and 4.50 digs per set. In the match against Concordia she notched 21 kills for a .442 hitting percentage while adding 16 digs and four service aces. Bruzzone also put up big numbers against Bridgeport with 12 kills and 20 digs.

This season Bruzzone is second on the team in kills per set with 2.58 and leads the Mavericks with 4.58 digs per set. She also leads the team in service aces with 36.

The Mavericks (7-20, 2-12 ECC) will play its final home match of the year on Tuesday, November 4 against NYIT at 7:00 p.m.
