DOBBS FERRY, NY - Jennifer Addison has stepped down as head coach of the Mercy College women's volleyball team after six seasons. She guided the Mavericks to four conference tournaments and two NCAA Tournament berths during her tenure.
In 2005, Addison's squad went 20-12 en route to a NCAA Tournament berth. She also reached the NCAA Tournament in 2004 when Mercy College went 17-12. She has coached some of Mercy College's most talented student-athletes, such as Monica Herrera, Yulissa Zamudio and Mariola St. Fleur.
This past season she returned the Mavericks to the conference playoffs and has set the building blocks in place for a successful future.
A Mercy College alumna, Addison first served as an assistant coach from 1996-2000. During that time she helped Head Coach Garvey Pierre lead the program through one of its most successful periods. These teams went 151-50 and responded well under the tutelage of Pierre and Addison.
A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
