Adelphi Defeats Mercy Women's Soccer
GARDEN CITY, NY - The Mercy College women's
soccer team was defeated by East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent
Adelphi by a score of 7-0 on Friday.
Adelphi (12-3-1, 6-1-1 ECC) opened up the scoring in the first
minute on a goal by Brianne McDonnell. In the 20th minute,
McDonnell picked up her first of three assists on a free kick that
Kayte Kinsley snuck past the goalkeeper for a 2-0 lead.
Erin Klimkowski scored her first of two goals in the 26th minute
on a rebound off the post. Danielle Bottaro, Klimkowski, Caitlin
Morrison, and Emily Dunne all found the back of the net to put an
end to the scoring for the Panthers.
The Mavericks (1-8-2, 0-6-2 ECC) will be back in action on
Tuesday, October 28 for Senior Day when they host NYIT at 3:00 p.m.
