CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 23, 2012) – Mercy College women's lacrosse attackers junior Marissa Hurley (Shirley, N.Y.) and sophomore Kristen Znaniecki (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) have been named to the East Coast Conference Honor Roll for Week Eight, the ECC office announced today.

Hurley totaled 11 points on nine goals and a pair of assists while Znaniecki racked up 12 points on seven goals and five assists over the team's 3-0 week.  Hurley added four ground balls, five draw controls and one caused turnover while Znaniecki contributed eight ground balls and a caused turnover.

The award is the first of the season for both players.  Junior midfielder Julie Darnulc (Baldwin, N.Y.) has also been named to the Honor Roll twice this year.

Head Coach Francesca DeLorenzo will lead Hurley, Znaniecki and the rest of the Mavericks against Assumption College as they attempt to extend their three-game winning streak on Thursday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m.
