Stephanie DiLegge Wins 2012 ECC John Smillie, Jr. Award
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (June 1, 2012) - Junior goalkeeper Stephanie DiLegge of the Mercy College women's lacrosse team was one of three recipients of this year's John Smillie, Jr. Award, which is given out by the East Coast Conference at year's end. The recognition signifies a student-athlete overcoming personal and physical challenges to continue to play the sport that they love.

(May 6, 2012) – Junior goalkeeper Stephanie DiLegge (Bay Shore, N.Y.) made an incredible 11 saves while allowing just two goals to help lead the Mercy College women’s lacrosse team to a season-ending 19-6 victory over East Coast Conference rival the University of Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon.

(April 17, 2012) – The Mercy College women’s lacrosse team rallied from a late two-goal deficit, scoring the final six of the contest to top Kutztown University, 16-12, on Tuesday afternoon. Junior midfielder Kelsey Sullivan (Mastic, N.Y.) led a slew of impressive performances from the Mavericks with three goals, an assist, six ground balls and five draw controls, displaying the form that earned her Second Team All-Conference recognition last season.

(Dec. 13, 2011) – Mercy College Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Francesca DeLorenzo announced that her squad is collecting bags of clothing, linens and shoes to support A&E Clothing Corporations’ mission. The items collected will go to the citizens of third-world countries. Items can be dropped off in Coach DeLorenzo’s office from now until Thursday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m.
