Mercy Women's Lacrosse Honored by IWLCA for Academic Success

The Mercy College women’s lacrosse program has been honored for its academic success by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Mercy was one of nine NCAA Division II schools to earn Academic Squad status in 2010, joining Bloomsburg (Pa.) University, Dowling College, Lake Erie (Pa.) College, Mercyhurst (Pa.) College, Pfeiffer (N.C.) University, Philadelphia University, the University of New Haven, and West Chester (Pa.) University.

Institutions were named Academic Squads by virtue of having a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Under the tutelage of first-year head coach Francesca DeLorenzo, Mercy College completed its inaugural season in the spring of 2010 with a record of 8-6, including a 3-4 record in the East Coast Conference.
