Horn, McPartland, Sullivan Earn Second Team All-ECC in Women's Lacrosse

The East Coast Conference announced today the All-Conference teams for women’s lacrosse, and Mercy College posted three student-athletes on the Second Team: attack Brianna Horn (Wantagh, N.Y./Kellenberg), and midfielders Jamie McPartland (North Massapequa, N.Y./Farmingdale) and Kelsey Sullivan (Mastic, N.Y./ Eastport South Manor).

The trio, all freshmen, were major contributors for the Mavericks, who finished the inaugural season with an 8-6 record, including a 3-4 mark and fifth place in the eight-team conference.

Horn tied for the team’s lead in goals scored with 43, while her 13 assists were second best on the team. Her total of 56 points was the highest on the team. She recorded three game-winning goals.

McPartland was third on the team in goals (41) and points (44). She scooped up 21 groundballs and caused 11 turnovers.

Sullivan was fourth on the team in scoring with 31 points on 16 goals and a team-high 15 assists. She led the team in groundballs with 45, draw controls with 40, and caused turnovers with 17.
