Women’s Lacrosse Picked Sixth in ECC in Inaugural

Central Islip, N.Y. - The Mercy College women’s lacrosse program has already earned some respect, being predicted to finish sixth in the eight-team East Coast Conference for the 2010 season. The poll was generated by voting of the coaches in the conference.
C.W. Post Pioneers women's lacrosse team has been selected to top the East Coast Conference in 2010. Filling in the number two slot is the Golden Lions of Dowling College followed by the Molloy College Lions in the No. 3 spot.
The 2010 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year has been awarded to C.W. Post's Staci Passafiume, while senior teammate Kim Williams has been tabbed the 2010 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
Mercy College begins its inaugural campaign on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. The first home contest in program history will be a week later, on March 10, against Bentley College at 1:00 p.m. at SUNY Purchase.
