Mercy College Alumnus Noreen Annunziata Apicella to be Inducted into Rockland County Sports Hall of Fame
DOBBS FERRY, NY – Mercy College alumnus Noreen Annunziata Apicella will be inducted into the Rockland County Sports Hall of Fame on May 3 at the Pearl River Elks Club in Nanuet, New York. Wellington and Baxter Climb into the Record Books
DOBBS FERRY, NY – Senior guard Chanze Wellington (Spring Valley, NY) and junior guard Christina Baxter (Greenwood Lake, NY) have both joined the ranks of the all-time elite Mavericks by reaching the 1,000 points scored milestone against St. Thomas Aquinas College on February 23. Each have enjoyed tremendous collegiate careers and now will have a place in the Mercy College record books.

Mercy Women’s Basketball Ends Season with Loss to Bridgeport 88-71
BRIDGEPORT, CT – The Mercy women’s basketball team had four players score in double figures, but was defeated on Saturday at Bridgeport by a score of 88-71. The loss ends the Mavericks’ season and is eliminated from conference tournament contention. Mercy finishes with an overall record of 6-21 and 6-14 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.

C.W. Post Defeats Mercy Women’s Basketball 83-57
BROOKVILLE, NY – The Mercy College women’s basketball team fell by a score of 83-57 at the hands of host C.W. Post in an East Coast Conference (ECC) game on Wednesday. The Mavericks are now 6-20 overall, and 6-13 in ECC play, while the Pioneers improved to 16-10 overall and 13-6 in the league.

Baxter Reaches 1,000 Career Points, But Mavericks Fall 79-59 to STAC
SPARKILL, NY – Junior guard Christina Baxter (Greenwood Lake, NY) scored a team-high 19 points and reached the 1,000 points scored mark for her collegiate career, but the Mavericks lost to St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 79-59. Mercy’s record falls to 6-19 overall and 6-12 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.

CALDWELL, NJ – The Mercy College women’s basketball team was defeated on Wednesday night in non-conference action at Caldwell College by a score of 80-67. The loss drops Mercy’s record to 6-18 overall and remains 6-11 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.
