Kelli Dunlay enters her third season as head coach of the Mercy
College women's basketball team for the 2011-12 campaign. Dunlay is
the Mavericks’ 13th head women’s basketball coach in
program history.
A veteran to the ECC, Dunlay joins the Mavericks following a
season as
an assistant coach at Adelphi University and two years as an
assistant at St. Thomas Aquinas College. In these roles, she
organized and scheduled daily practices and workouts, assisted with
recruiting and oversaw the preparation for home and away games. She
also specialized in the development of post players and assisted
with team promotions, sponsorships, and alumni relations.
An Adelphi alumna, Dunlay played for the Panthers from 1989-93, where she was a four-year starter. She led the team in both scoring and rebounding during both her junior and senior seasons. Dunlay was also a two-time All-Conference selection and is still ranked fifth all-time in scoring with 1,288 career points. She earned a pair of MVP awards and is the program’s record holder for points in a game with 38.
Dunlay has also worked seven years as a coach for the Rockland
Rockets AAU organization.
Outside of Mercy, Dunlay works in the fashion industry as a design
fit consultant, having worked with such clients as Champion, Hanes,
and Ralph Lauren.
She is a 1993 graduate of Adelphi University with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Dunlay went on to earn a master’s degree in sports management from Adelphi. She currently resides in Valley Cottage, N.Y., with her daughter, Bernadette (6).

Chris Del Guidice enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Mercy College women’s basketball team under Head Coach Kelli Dunlay.
Del Guidice boasts a decorated résumé. After lettering in both basketball and baseball at St. Raymond's High School in the Bronx, where he was named Second Team All-City in his senior year, Del Guidice went on to play for what is now known as Southern New Hampshire University as a four-year starter. He became the school’s first National Association of Basketball Coaches All-American in his senior year (1981), also winning the Bob Cousy Award (presented to the top guard in the country under 6’0” tall) and being named New England Player of the Year as he finished second in the country in free throw percentage (.890).
Del Guidice is a member of the Southern New Hampshire Hall of Fame, having finished his career third all-time in assists (735) and 12th in points (1,597) in school history.
Since graduating, Del Guidice has spent over 25 years in advertising, working with ABC Television Network and various advertising agencies.
He is a 1981 graduate of New Hampshire College with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and is currently employed at the Busch Media Group, which specializes in purchasing advertising time for Anheuser-Busch Imbev beverage products.
Del Guidice resides in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. with his wife, Monique.

Kaitlin Degnan enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Mercy College women’s basketball team under Head Coach Kelli Dunlay.
Degnan’s experience includes being the Head Coach in the Catholic Youth organization basketball (ages 8-13) since 2005. She also competed at the collegiate level as a Presidential Scholar for Manhattanville College as a two-sport athlete in basketball and softball, leading both teams to the Freedom Conference Championship game on multiple occasions.
Making 12 starts over 77 appearances in her four years on the basketball squad, Degnan shot .418 from the field for her career and served as team captain in her senior year while receiving the Freedom Conference Sportsmanship Award and being named to the All Freedom Academic Team each of her four seasons (minimum 3.2 grade point average). Degnan also served as president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in her senior year.
Degnan is a 2007 graduate of Irvington High School, where she lettered in volleyball, basketball and softball, earning All-Section and All-league honors her final two years in basketball and three years in softball. She also earned the Enterprise Rivertowns Athlete of the Year award.
Degnan is a 2011 graduate of Manhattanville College with a bachelor’s degree in education and history and is pursuing a master’s in adolescent education with a certificate in special education as a graduate student at Mercy. She is certified to teach social studies in grades 5-12 in New York State and has served as a student teacher at Fox Lane Middle and High Schools in Fall 2010.
She resides in Irvington, N.Y.
