(Feb. 25, 2012) – Senior forward Jasmine Williams (Stratford, Conn.) posted game highs with 22 points and 12 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the year as the Mercy College women’s basketball team dropped its season finale to East Coast Conference opponent St. Thomas Aquinas College, 70-61, on Saturday afternoon.

Athletics Department Helps Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research Through Pink Zone Games
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 24, 2012) - On Wednesday, Feb. 22, the Mercy College athletics department hosted a "Pink Zone" basketball doubleheader against East Coast Conference-opponent Dowling College in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for research.

Jasmine Williams Nets 23 Points in Loss to ECC-Leading Dowling
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 22, 2012) – Senior forward Jasmine Williams (Stratford, Conn.) poured in a game-high 23 points on the night she was honored for becoming the 18th Maverick to score 1,000 points in her career last week, but a big second-half Dowling College run was too much for the Mercy College women’s basketball team as it fell, 66-47, to its East Coast Conference foe on Wednesday night.

(Nov. 22, 2011) – Senior Jasmine Williams (Stratford, Conn.), a forward on the Mercy College women’s basketball team, was named to the East Coast Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll for Week Two. Williams recorded a triple-double in the Mavericks’ home-opener, a tough 74-69 loss to Philadelphia University, to merit the recognition.

The game was hotly contested throughout, but Philadelphia pulled ahead in the end and won by five, 74-69.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Nov. 12, 2011) – On Saturday afternoon the Mercy College women’s basketball team took on Southern New Hampshire University in the second slate of Northeast-10 – ECC Conference Challenge games looking to bounce back from yesterday’s loss. Although the Mavericks kept close through the first half, the Penmen pulled away in the second to post the 72-53 victory.

Women’s Basketball Drops Season Opener to St. Anselm
MANCHESTER, N.H. (Nov. 11, 2011) – On Friday night the women’s basketball team opened its season in Manchester, N.H. against the St. Anselm College Hawks in the ECC/NE-10 Conference Challenge, returning four starters and several role players from last year’s squad but getting off to a slow start and falling 79-52.
