Delmara Reece Named ECC Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week

Mercy College junior forward Delmara Reece (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) was named the East Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week today. She shares the honor with Madison Robertson of NYIT.

For the week that ended February 28, 2010, Reece posted back-to-back double-doubles against Molloy and NYIT. She notched game-highs with 14 points and 11 rebounds at Molloy. She returned to post 20 points and 25 rebounds against NYIT.

Reece finishes her junior campaign with 990 points and 951 rebounds.

This is the second time this season Reece has so been honored by the ECC. She was named Player of the Week back on December 21, 2009.

The Mavericks concluded the 2009-10 campaign with a 4-23 record, including a 3-18 mark in the ECC.
