Delmara Reece Among Nation's Best in Rebounding

Delmara Reece Drops to Third in NCAA in Rebounding

The NCAA recently released updated national statistics in women's basketball, and Delmara Reece, a junior forward from Yonkers, N.Y., is ranked among the nation’s best in rebounding.

All statistics are through games of February 14, 2010.

The Saunders High School product has dropped to third best in the nation in rebounding, averaging 12.1 caroms per contest. A week ago, she was tied for the national lead.

The national leader is Kayla Smith of the California University of Pennsylvania, who grabs 12.2 rebounds per game. In second is Phebe Smith of Columbus (Ga.) State, who also grabs 12.2.

The Mavericks next take the court on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, when the Knights of Queens College travel to Dobbs Ferry for a 5:00 p.m. tip.
