Rebounding
The NCAA recently released updated national statistics in women's basketball, and Delmara Reece, a junior forward from Yonkers, N.Y., is highly ranked.
All statistics are through games of February 7, 2010.
The Saunders High School product is tied for the nation's lead in rebounding in Division II, averaging 12.1 caroms per contest. She is tied with Kayla Smith of the California University of Pennsylvania.
Reece is also 246th in scoring with 13.0 points per game.
The Mavericks next take the court on Saturday, february 13, 2010, when the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport come calling on the Mercy College Gymnasium. Mercy will be celebrating the WBCA Pink Zone!, raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Tip is slated for 12 o'clock.
