against Post University (Nov. 20) and Dowling (Feb. 4).
Before Mercy: Participated in three sports at
Danbury High School ... on the basketball court she averaged 10.8
points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for coach Jackie
DiNardo ... after earning All-FCIAC Honorable Mention in 2005, Ward
followed up with an All-FCIAC Second-Team selection in 2006 ... she
also earned the Sportsmanship Award for three consecutive years ...
was a weak-side hitter with the volleyball squad, garnering
All-FCIAC Second Team honors in 2006, and competed in throws and
other events with the track and field team, earning All-FCIAC and
All-State accolades ... played with the Wescon Fillies AAU.
