Before Mercy: Transfer from Jacksonville State University … played basketball at Farmingdale where she was a captain for three years … during her senior year she averaged 20.5 points per game … she was the Newsday Player of the Week three times in high school … during her junior and senior campaigns, Butehorn was named an All-American Big Apple and also was a member of the Metro Long Island team … all-County and All-State her junior and senior seasons … earned first and second scholastic honors.

Personal: Born Ann Elizabeth Butehorn … the daughter of Charles and Jane Butehorn … has two brothers Malcolm Butehorn (30) who graduated from Boston University and Phillip Butehorn (22) who graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh … a criminal justice major … she plans to become a detective for the Special Victims Unit after graduation … enjoys hanging out with friends and family, listening to music and watching movies
