Big First Half Lifts Mercy College Women's Basketball
to 60-34 Win at Briarcliffe College

GARDEN CITY, NY - Graduate student, Elissa Krossber (Canandaigua, NY) led the Mercy College women's basketball with 14 points and nine rebounds as the Flyers cruised past Briarcliffe College 60-34 on Sunday, January 7. Mercy improved to 3-6 overall, while Briarcliffe fell to 4-5.
Mercy went on a run late in the first half, to go into the locker room up 38-10. With an evenly played second half senior Davilla Moore (East Elmhurst, NY), coming off the bench, scored all of her six points in the final 20 minutes. Junior Jasmine Sistrunk (Brooklyn, NY) had a solid effort recording eight points and rebounds, while sophomore Tannyka Bent (Queens, NY) grabbed seven rebounds for the Flyers.
Mercy returns to action on Monday, January 8, at home versus East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent Concordia. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Westchester County Center. The Flyers are looking to capture back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2002-03 season.
