Christina Baxter Earns Third Straight NYCAC Rookie of the Week

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Mercy College's Christina Baxter has been named New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.  The Rookie honor is her third straight.

A 5-foot-6 freshman guard, Baxter averaged 17.5 ppg in two NYCAC games last week, notching 21 to go with five assists vs. Queens on Wednesday, shooting 9 of 18 from the floor in the contest. She led the Flyers with 14 points and pitched in five assists and four steals against Molloy on Saturday. She added eight rebounds in the two contests.
