Mercy College Volleyball Team Raises More Than $1,000 For Side-Out Foundation
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – In October 2009, the participating schools and volleyball coaches in the East Coast Conference rallied together to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation, a volleyball association fighting for breast cancer awareness. The ECC denoted the week of October 15-25 “Dig Pink Week,” where the school’s volleyball teams would come up with different events to help fundraise for this worthy foundation.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Mercy College women’s volleyball team dominated the Chestnut Hill Griffins, 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-19), in non-conference play on Thursday in Philadelphia.

Mavericks Lose Close Match To Dowling, 3-1
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The score in the Mercy College Mavericks Volleyball match to Dowling may have been 3-1 (18-25, 22-25, 25-18, 21-25) in favor of the Golden Knights, but the Mavericks were the real winners as they raised more than $700 for the Side-Out Foundation in their Dig Pink match, Tuesday night at Mercy College Gym.

Mercy College Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Game On Tuesday
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The coaches from all seven of the East Coast Conference volleyball teams have joined together to help support the fight against breast cancer. From October 15 through October 24 the seven teams will host a “Dig Pink” home contest to heighten awareness and raise funds for the Dig Pink Campaign founded by the Side-Out Foundation.

Mercy College Volleyball Loses To Molloy, 3-1
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy College women’s volleyball team lost 3-1 (23-25, 18-25, 25-21, 11-25) to the Molloy Lions, despite an inspired performance in the third set. With the loss, the Mavericks fall to 3-19 on the season and 0-6 in East Coast Conference action. The Molloy Lions advance to 8-15 overall and 3-5 in the league.

Mavericks Volleyball Loses 3-0 To Queens Knights
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy College women’s volleyball team lost 3-0 at the hands of the visiting Queens College Knights (20-25, 23-25, 20-25) in East Coast Conference action on Tuesday night in Mercy College gymnasium. With the loss, the Mavericks fall to 3-18 on the season and 0-6 in the ECC. Queens advances to 3-14 overall and 1-5 in the league.
