Mercy College Volleyball Sweeps Past Felician 3-0
RUTHERFORD, NJ - The Mercy College women's volleyball team defeated host Felician 3-0 in a non-conference match on Tuesday. The Mavericks improved to 6-11 overall, while the Golden Falcons dropped to 2-15 on the year.
After the Mavericks edged Felician 30-28 in game one, they took the second game 30-26, and closed out the contest 30-28 in game three.
Senior Natalee Carty (Kingston, Jamaica) registered a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore Diana Bruzzone (Guayaquil, Ecuador) posted 13 kills, eight service aces, and seven digs. Junior Trevene Smith (Montego Bay, Jamaica) put up 44 assists, and senior Mariola St. Fleur (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) led all Mavericks with 15 kills, tying a match-high.
Mercy will return to action on Thursday, October 11, at Queens College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
