Molloy Takes Mercy Volleyball in ECC Opener, 3-0

            ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY - The Mercy College women's volleyball team fell by a score of 3-0 (30-23, 30-26, 30-17), at Molloy in its first East Coast Conference (ECC) match of the season.  The Flyers are now 1-8 overall and 0-1 in ECC play. Molloy improved to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the league.

            Senior outside hitter Mariola St. Fleur (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) highlighted Mercy's attack, registering 12 kills, while adding two service aces, 12 digs and a block. Freshman middle hitter Diana Bruzzone (Guayaquil, Ecuador) chipped in six kills, picked up 16 digs and posted three service aces.  Sophomore setter Trevene Smith (Old Harbor, Jamaica) registered 18 assists for the Flyers.

            Mercy will return to action on Wednesday, September 20, at Pace in a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
