Mercy Volleyball Falls 3-1 at Franklin Pierce
RINDGE, NH - The Mercy College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at the hands of host Franklin Pierce College on Thursday, September 14. The Flyers are now 1-4 on the year, while the Ravens improved to 4-2.
Mercy opened up the match by taking the first game 30-27, but Franklin Pierce went on to sweep the next three, 30-17, 30-22, 30-21.
The Flyers were led by senior Mariola St. Fleur's (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) 11 kills and 16 digs. Freshman Diana Bruzzone (Guayaquil, Ecuador) added nine kills and 25 digs. Senior Michelle Adams (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) chipped in seven kills and 15 digs. Senior Melissa Baccari (Rego Park, N.Y.) handed out 19 assists.
Mercy will return to action on Friday at a tournament hosted by Bentley.
