Reyes Solo Competitor At NYIT Running Of The Bears

Mercy College cross country makes its first appearance of the season.
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Maverick senior Jamsel Reyes (Haverstraw, N.Y.) made Mercy College’s first cross country appearance of the season as he competed in the NYIT Running of the Bears at Bethpage State Park on Saturday.
Reyes finished 81st overall in the 8K, with a time of 29:37.50. His time was 46th among Division II competitors as he raced against host school NYIT, along with Felician, C.W. Post, College of St. Rose, Molloy, Dowling, Nyack, Pace, Queens College, St. Thomas Acquinas and Bridgeport to name a few.
The Mavericks are back in action at the Connecticut College Invitational on Sept. 26. The race begins at 11 a.m. in Waterford, Conn.
