David Hunte Takes First in Triple Jump at St. John's Twilight Series

QUEENS, NY -  Mercy College senior David Hunte (Labrea, Trinidad and Tobago) continued his hot streak, taking first place in the men's triple jump at the St. John's University twilight series on Monday night.

Hunte topped a pair of competitors from NCAA Division I program Manhattan College with a mark of 13.60 meters to earn his third straight first place finish in the event. It was a final tune-up for this weekend's Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) outdoor championships.

After the CTC Championships, the Mavericks will compete again at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday, April 23.
