2007-08: Began cross country season at the
Fordham Invitational with a time of 29:58…Ran the 6k course
at the Connecticut College Invitational with a time of
33:28…Put up a time of 32:50 at the Brooks Paul Short Cross
Country run on a 6k course…Finished the 5000m championship
race with a time of 25:42.3 at the Albany
Invitational…Finished the 5k course at the ECC Championships
with a time of 26:52…At NCAA Division II Regionals she
posted a season-best time on the 6k course with a time of
33:36.0.
2006-07: Had solid finishing times in cross
country with her best performance coming at the ECAC/IC4A
Championships with a time of 27:08 on a 3.1 mile course...At Iona's
Meet of Champions finished with a time of 32:29 on a 3.7 mile
course...For indoor track & field, she became the first ever
Mercy athlete to compete in a women's high jump event, posting a
7th place finish at the Fordham Opener...Set school record in the
high jump (1.46m) at Collegiate Track Conference Championships,
which was good for 4th in the ECC and 7th overall...Broke her own
record at the NYU Fast Track Invitational with a jump of 1.5m to
place 12th...During outdoor track & field at the Bryant
Invitational finished first in women's javelin with a throw of
40.4m and third in the high jump (1.47m)...At the Coach "O"
Invitational finished first in women's javelin with a throw of
36.16m...Finished second at the CTC Championships in women's
javelin with a throw of 37.20m...Took first place in both the
women's javelin and high jump at the ECC Championships, her mark of
1.52m in the high jump established a new school
record...Participated in the ECAC Championships.
Crofton House: Member of the cross country and
track and field programs from 2001-06...Named Best All-Around
Athlete from 2001-06...Most Inspirational Athlete in 2002 and
2003...Member of the volleyball and crew teams.
Personal: Daughter of Kaye and Phil Wong...Health sciences major...Participated at the Kajaks Track and Field Club...and Thunder Volleyball and Air Attack clubs...Also a member of the Mercy volleyball team.
