Mercy College Indoor Track & Field Competes at NYU Fast Track Invitational
NEW YORK, NY - The Mercy College Indoor Track & Field Teams competed with several Division I programs at the NYU Fast Track Invitational, held at the Armory Track & Field Center, on Friday.
Sophomore Janet Wong (Vancouver, Canada) posted an 11th place finish in the women's high jump, registering a new school record of 1.55 meters. Junior Katelyn Klobus (Averill Park, NY) finished the 800-meter run in a time of 2:30.59, lowering her school record by more than two seconds.
On the men's side, senior Peter Yarema (Northport, NY) finished 57th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:51.17. Senior Eric Duffy (Carmel, NY) finished the 400-meter dash in 52.51 seconds, also his fastest time of the season. Junior Jose Gomez (Monroe, NY) rounded it out with a time of 10:06 in the 3000 meter run.
