Reyes Leads Mercy Cross Country at NYU Invitational
BRONX, NY - The Mercy College Cross Country teams were in action on Saturday, September 16, at the NYU Invitational. The men's team finished 19th out of 35 teams.
Senior Miguel Reyes (Haverstraw, NY) placed 27th out of 291 participants, finishing in a time of 28:27 to lead the men's squad. Sophomore Katelyn Klobus (Babylon, NY) paced the women with a time of 23:54. The women did not score as a team.
"It was a gutsy race by Katelyn and Miguel ran a very smart race," said head coach Darryl Bullock. "I was also encouraged by the progress of Tom Cannariato (Goshen, NY). I think we're doing a good job at getting ready to run at the Meet of Champions."
Mercy returns to action on September 30, at the Iona Meet of Champions.
