Mercy Track and Field Competes at Coach "O"

KINGS POINT, NY - The Mercy College track and field teams were in action at the Coach "O" Invitational, hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy, on Saturday, April 15. For complete results visit www.nesportstiming.com.
On the women's side, freshman Katelyn Klobus lowered her own school record in the 800m run, finishing in 2:42.26, and placing 24th overall. Senior Melissa Lisbona also turned in a strong performance in the shot put with a mark of 10.02m, placing fourth out of 16.
In the men's one-mile run, Mercy had a pair of top-15 finishes from junior Edward Murray and Miguel Reyes. Murray placed 10th out of 40 competitors with a personal best time of 4:44.31, edging out Reyes, who placed 11th with a time of 4:46.12. Kevin Gibson finished 33rd with a time of 5:22.73. Reyes also took 11th place in the 800m run, finishing in 1:59.93. Peter Yarema placed 17th in the 3000m run with a time of 10:12.13, while Daniel Reeves placed 22nd, finishing in 10:29.41. In the men's triple jump, Shadrac St. Louis finished 10th, posting a mark of 12.09m.
The Mercy College track and field teams are scheduled to be back in action again on Friday, April 21, at the New York Collegiate Invitational.
