DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (April 26, 2012) – Mercy College hosted Softball Alumni Day this past Saturday, April 21.  Recent graduates squared off in a home run derby followed by the Mavericks' season-finale doubleheader against East Coast Conference foe Molloy College on Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Chelsea Methot edged out Paige Cauley in the thrilling home run derby by a score of 13-9. Current assistant coach Krissy Lacik also belted a pair of round-trippers while Kim Curry displayed her gap-to-gap stroke in this epic battle of recent grads.

The alumni were able to relax after the slugfest, taking in the current squad's doubleheader against Molloy to close out the season.  The Mavericks sported pink t-shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
