Methot Leads Mercy Softball in NCAA Rankings

The NCAA released the Division II statistical rankings for softball, and the Mercy College softball team is included.

As a team, the Mavericks sport a .293 batting average, good for 111^th overall, out of 300 schools ranked.  As a team, Mercy ranks 90^th nationally in doubles per game with 1.38.

Individually, Mercy’s junior centerfielder Chelsea Methot (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central) has blasted eight home runs, ranking her 110^th in that category.

The Mercy College softball team returns to action on Friday, April 23, as they face East Coast Conference rival Molloy College in a doubleheader.  Game one is slated to begin at 3:00 pm.
