Blog Number Nine: Team Dinner

We left from school at 9:45AM.  We hit some unexpected traffic, so it took us a little longer to get to Chestnut Hill.

Aside from hitting traffic, we went in the wrong entrance to the school. It was pure chaos. It got better as we started to warm up and play.

The game started off a little slow, but eventually picked up. We won the first game 5-1. The second game; however, it was an ugly start. In the first inning, we were already losing 5-0. As the innings went on, things started to look up. We got our stuff together and starting producing runs. We won that game 9-5. Our defense was pretty solid, our hitting on the other hand wasn't our best.

After the games, we went to my house in Voorhees, N.J., to have a team dinner that my mom cooked for us. We had pasta, sausage, chicken, salad, and desserts. It was nice to get home and see my family. It was delicious.

The ride home was just as bad as the ride there. We took the LONG way, which took us almost 2.5 hours to get home. We were supposed to have practice at 7:30AM, but since we got home so late coach decided to cancel. It was a nice weekend off and a good start to our season! :)
