Season wrap-up

Blog Nineteen: The Final Blog

5/1/10: Last DH of the season home vs. Bridgeport

Well this is it. The end of my junior year. Today we played Bridgeport for our final doubleheader at home. The first game was not pretty; we lost 6-2. We really needed 2 wins, but we only came out with 1. We couldn't really make the adjustment at the plate. Overall, it just wasn't a good game.

Between games, we had a little ceremony for three of us who got our 100th hits this season. Chelsea, Kim and me all reached our milestones at some point this year.

The second game went back and forth. We were up and then we were down. We ended up winning the second game 14-10. It was a nice way to end the season. After the games, we had a picnic set up in centerfield for all the players and their parents. It was really nice. Thanks to everyone that contributed to that. Thanks to all our parents and family members for their love and support. This time next year we will be seniors....

5/1/10: Season wrap-up

This season was a bumpy one, on and off the field. Like any other team, on the field we just couldn't get the job done all the time. We wished we could -  who wouldn't? As a whole, we are still making progress as a team and we hope to keep building the program as strong as we possibly can. One good thing about is that we do get along on and off the field. We have our moments, but we get over them and move on. Life is too short. I can't believe we are going to be seniors. I have a lot of goals for next season, as does everyone else probably. We want to go out with a bang and make our senior year memorable. Thank you to my teammates and coaches for yet again another unforgettable season. See you next year!
