SMITHFIELD, RI The Mercy College mens tennis team was edged by host Bryant University 5-4 on Sunday. The Mavericks and Bulldogs entered the match tied for No. 45 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings.
April 16, 2008 No. 45 Mercy College Mens Tennis Takes Millersville 6-3
MILLERSVILLE, PA Mercy College posted a 6-3 victory over host Millersville in a non-conference mens tennis match on Wednesday. The Mavericks, tied for No. 45 in the nation, improved to 4-5 on the year. The Marauders dropped to 1-7 overall.
April 12, 2008 Mens Tennis Edged by Queens, 5-4
FLUSHING, NY The Mercy College mens tennis team, ranked No. 45 in the nation, was held off by host Queens College, 5-4 on Saturday. The Mavericks are now 3-5 overall and 3-2 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play. The Knights improved to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in the league.
April 8, 2008 Mercy Mens Tennis Aims for NCAA Tournament
DOBBS FERRY, NY After qualifying for a fourth straight NCAA Division II Tournament and finishing 2007 ranked No. 31 in the nation, the Mercy College mens tennis team is hungry for more. Head coach Barbaros Ozdogan has his team ready for competition and anything less than a fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth would be a disappointment to the Mavericks.
April 5, 2008 Mercy College Mens Tennis Takes Adelphi 7-2
W. HEMPSTEAD, NY The Mercy College mens tennis team, currently ranked No. 45 in the nation and No. 4 in the east region, defeated host Adelphi University by a score of 7-2 on Saturday. Mercy improved to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.
