Mehdi Rhazali Named ECC Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Freshman Mehdi Rhazali (Rabat, Morocco) has been named East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week, as announced on Tuesday. This is the second time Rhazali has earned this honor.

Rhazali went 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-1 in No. 2 doubles last week. He opened up with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Drew Slocum of Millersville, and then defeated Jose Rodriguez of Bryant 6-4, 6-7 (7-9), 7-6. He also posted a doubles win (8-4) at Millersville.

The Mavericks, who are ranked No. 45, will take on Queens on Tuesday, April 22 in the ECC semi-finals at 2:00 p.m.
