No. 31 Barton Defeats No. 40 Mercy College 5-2, at North South Men's Tennis Duals
WILSON, NC - Barton College, ranked No. 31 in the nation, defeated No. 40 Mercy College by a score of 5-2 at the North South Duals on Sunday, March 25. The Flyers won the tournament with a 4-1 overall record.
Barton took two out of three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead. Alican Seren and Zeki Tukel notched Mercy's point with a win at No. 3.
Seren was Mercy's winner in singles play, earning a victory at the No. 3 spot. Barton posted points with wins at the No. 1, 4, and 6 spots to seal the decision.
Mercy is slated to return to action on Saturday, March 31, in a key East Coast Conference (ECC) match at Concordia, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
