Rob Ward was named men's soccer assistant coach in the fall of 2007. His main duties include providing instructional support for the team, assisting in practice sessions, recruiting, and the day-to-day operations of the program.

Before joining the staff at Mercy, Ward was a head coach at Valhalla High School. He coordinated both Junior Varsity and Modified Boys Soccer Programs, helped to run the evaluation and promotion process for the program and scheduled all games and team practices. Ward also coached at Palmerstown High School in Dublin, Ireland, and the Chappaqua, Briarcliff and Armonk club programs.

He competed at Mercy from 2002-05 and during his senior season tallied eight points as a defender. Ward earned Academic All-Conference honors and helped his team to a conference championship. Ward was a graduate assistant at Mercy College from 2005-08. During his time at the Dobbs Ferry campus, he has served as an undergraduate tutor, headed the Senior Gift Committee, and has contributed and participated in the March of Dimes Relay for Life since 2003.

He graduated with honors from Mercy in 2005, earning a bachelor's degree in marketing and earned his MBA in the spring of 2008. In 2005, he earned the Neil Judge Scholar Athlete Award and the Alumni Achievement Award.
