Brian Walsh was named assistant men's soccer coach in August of 2007. He assists with the day-to-day operations of the program, scheduling, team practice sessions and skill instruction.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Walsh holds a Football Association of Ireland (FAI) Coaching Certificate. Before joining the staff at Mercy, Walsh was a head coach at Valhalla High School. He coordinated both Junior Varsity and Modified Boys Soccer programs, helped to run the evaluation and promotion process for the program and scheduled all games and team practices. Walsh also coached at Palmerstown High School in Dublin and the Chappaqua and Armonk club programs. He also evaluates and trains players throughout Westchester County.

As an undergraduate, he played on the Mercy College men's soccer team from 2002-2005 as a defender. Known for his defensive tenacity, Walsh earned Academic All-Conference honors and helped his squad to a conference championship.

Walsh also served as Graduate Assistant for the Division Chair of Business for two years.  In this role he assisted with departmental projects and is an academic advisor to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Walsh was a Resident Assistant at Mercy College, helping students transition to college life. He also helped to plan special activities and events for residents.

A Dean's List student, Walsh received his undergraduate degree in International Business from Mercy College in 2006, and earned his MBA in the spring of 2008. He was named a Wall Street Journal Business Student of the Year in 2006 and is a member of the International Honor Society in Business Administration, Delta Mu Delta.
