The Mavericks return three all-conference performers from last season, including graduate student captain Ben Latchford (Birmingham, England), senior Collin Legge (Schodack, N.Y.) and junior Moustapha Dioum (Harlem, N.Y.). With Latchford and six seniors returning to lead a team full of new faces (10 freshmen and several transfers), second-year Head Coach Chris Smith and his staff will be looking to make a big mark on what looks to be a tightly contested East Coast Conference this season.
Last season, Mercy finished 6-7-4 overall (1-5-1 in conference) after a combined 4-26-1 record the previous two years.
