Michael Frimpong-Manso Earns All-ECC Second Team Honors

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Mercy College men's soccer standout Michael Frimpong-Manso (Accra, Ghana) has been named to the All-East Coast Conference (ECC) Second Team, as announced on Saturday.

A 5-foot-7 senior forward, Frimpong-Manso led the Mavericks with 12 points and six goals in 2008. He ranked eighth in the ECC in goals per game (0.50) and 10th in goals.  Frimpong-Manso opened the season with a goal in the Mavericks' 2-1 win over American International College and then netted a pair versus West Chester in the next game. He closed out his collegiate career by scoring in three of his last four games.

This marks the third time Frimpong-Manso has earned All-Conference honors.  As a freshman in 2005, he earned All-Conference Second Team honors and was named Conference Rookie of the Year.  Last year he claimed All-ECC First Team and Daktronics Northeast Region Second Team accolades.

Frimpong-Manso finished his career ranked fifth all-time at Mercy College with 27 goals.
