WALTHAM, MA - The Mercy College men's soccer team fell by a score of 5-0 at the hands of host Bentley on Sunday. The Mavericks are now 1-2 on the year, while the Falcons improved to 3-0.

Bentley jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Harris Smriko scored his first of two goals on a pass down the right side from Mike Lipsett in the ninth minute. Smriko struck again in the 34th minute, this time on a cross in the box from Aaron Hopkins to give the Falcons a 2-0 advantage.

Bentley stretched the margin to 3-0 in the 63rd minute as Jared Joaquin connected on a cross by Eric Heuze. The Falcons added goals by Ryan Hatch in the 77th minute and Mike Bakhtiari in the 89th minute.
