Michael Frimpong-Manso Named to Daktronics Division II Men's Soccer Northeast Region Second Team
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Mercy College men's soccer player Michael Frimpong-Manso (Accra, Ghana) has been named to the 2007 Daktronics Division II Northeast Region Second Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Frimpong-Manso, a 5-foot-7 junior forward, also earned All-East Coast Conference (ECC) First Team honors this year. He led the Mavericks with 22 points on nine goals and four assists and his 1.47 points per game ranks tied for first in the ECC.
Frimpong-Manso scored in eight different games, including the game-winner at Felician. He also assisted on the game-winner versus Goldey Beacom. The 2005 conference Rookie of the Year, Frimpong-Manso will enter the 2008 season tied for eighth all-time at Mercy with 21 career goals, and tied for ninth with 50 career points.
