Mercy Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at Concordia
BRONXVILLE, NY - The Mercy College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Concordia on Tuesday afternoon. Mercy's record is now 4-4-0 overall and 2-2-0 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play. Concordia improved to 2-8 overall and 1-4 in league action.
Concordia scored what would stand up to be the game-winner ins the 13th minute. Ricky Guiterrez was credited with the goal on an assist from Mario Juarez.
Each team recorded 14 shots in the game. Mercy's Carl Spence (St. Catherine, Jamaica) made seven saves in the contest. Ivan Rodriguez stopped six shots for Mercy. Corner kicks were also even at 5-5.
Mercy returns to action on Saturday, October 7, in another key ECC match at Bridgeport. Kick-off is at 1:00 p.m.
