CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 3, 2012) - The East Coast Conference office released its weekly men's lacrosse awards on Monday night and Mercy College junior attackman Mike Marzocca (North Babylon, N.Y.) was selected as the league's Player of the Week after his seven-goal, two-assist performance in a pair of victories against Molloy College and Dominican College.

Marzocca put together a stellar week at attack for the Mavericks in two critical East Coast Conference wins. In a tight 12-11 victory over Molloy, the North Babylon native scored five goals and recorded one assist for six points. On Friday versus Dominican, he tallied three points as he scored twice and dished out one assist. Two of those seven goals came as man-up.

Head Coach Steve Manitta and the Mavericks return to their schedule tomorrow when they venture to the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. for a 7:00 p.m. opening faceoff. The game will have a live video feed, which can be viewed here: Mercy @ Saint Rose - Live Video.
