DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (July 23, 2012) – Jordan Levine was named Associate Director of Athletics and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach on Monday, July 23, 2012, after serving as the Assistant A.D. and Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach since 2008.

Men's Lacrosse's Patrick Hodapp To Play for New Jersey All-Stars Team vs. U.S.A. U-19 Squad
MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. (Jun. 20, 2012) - This week, the New Jersey Lacrosse Foundation announced that the New Jersey All-Stars will be hosting the United States Under-19 Men's National team in an exhibition contest on July 1, 2012. Mercy College junior midfielder Patrick Hodapp was named to the New Jersey All-Star roster, which is comprised of current collegiate underclassmen. The N.J. North Chapter is proud to host this event and support Team USA.

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (May 5, 2012) - The Mercy College men's lacrosse squad closed out its 2012 season with a 13-6 loss to East Coast Conference-foe No. 7 New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, N.Y. on Saturday. Juniors Mike Marzocca and John Fitzpatrick each scored twice for the Mavericks as they slipped to 6-7 overall and 4-6 in conference play. The Bears improved to 13-3 on the year and 8-2 in the ECC.

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Apr. 28, 2012) - On Saturday afternoon, the Mercy College men's lacrosse squad fell to No. 3 Dowling College in East Coast Conference action, 14-2, on Mavericks Field in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. With the win, the Golden Lions improved to 11-1 overall and 9-1 in the league. Following the loss, the Mavericks slipped to 6-6 on the season and 4-5 in the ECC.

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 25, 2012) - On Wednesday afternoon, the Mercy College men's lacrosse team climbed one game over the .500 mark with an 8-7 victory over Pace University at Pace Field. With the win, the Mavericks improved to 6-5 overall, while the Setters fell to 5-9 on the season.

GREENSBURG, Pa. (Apr. 21, 2012) - On Saturday afternoon, the Mercy College men's lacrosse team saw its record slip to 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the East Coast Conference after a 17-9 defeat to Seton Hill University. The Griffins improved to 8-4 on the year and 5-3 in the league.

Men's Lacrosse Battles ECC-Rival C.W. Post; Falls, 8-6
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 14, 2012) - On Saturday afternoon, the Mercy College men's lacrosse squad received a five-goal output from junior attackman Mike Marzocca, but it was ultimately not enough as East Coast Conference-nemesis C.W. Post defeated the Mavericks, 8-6, at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 4-5 overall and 2-5 in the ECC. Following the loss, the Mavericks slipped to 5-4 on the year and 4-3 in the league.

DiCarlo was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. DiCarlo is also making national news as he ranks first in saves percentage (.669) and second in saves per game (14.14).

(Mar. 30, 2012) – On Friday afternoon, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team received two goals each out of juniors Mike Marzocca and John Fitzpatrick en route to a 8-2 victory over Dominican College in East Coast Conference action. (Mar. 28, 2012) – On Wednesday evening, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team traveled to Rockville Centre, N.Y. to square off against East Coast Conference-foe Molloy College without its reigning Division II Goalkeeper of the Year T.J. DiCarlo, who was sitting out due to an injury. Nonetheless, the Mavericks received an outstanding performance from sophomore cageminder Mike Cashman who kept his team in the game long enough for Mercy to pull out the triumph.

Men's and Women's Lacrosse Schedule Changes For This Weekend
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Mar. 27, 2012) - The Mercy College Department of Athletics has announced the schedule of the Mavericks' lacrosse contests for this weekend. The men's team will play Dominican College on Friday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at SUNY Purchase, while the women's squad will square off against Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m. at Manhattanville College.

Men’s Lacrosse Downs ECC-Opponent Lake Erie, 12-10
PURCHASE, N.Y. (Mar. 24, 2012) – On Saturday evening, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse squad defeated Lake Erie College, 12-10 at SUNY Purchase, for its second East Coast Conference win of the season. Eight different Mavericks scored for Mercy as the barrage of goals never seemed to stop. With the victory, the Mavericks improved to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the league. Following the loss, the Storm slipped to 2-3 on the year and 0-2 in the ECC.

Three Hat Tricks Lead Men’s Lacrosse Past Wheeling Jesuit to Earn First Victory of Season, 10-7
MARTINS FERRY, Ohio (Mar. 17, 2012) – On Saturday, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team headed to Martins Ferry, Ohio to take on East Coast Conference-opponent Wheeling Jesuit University looking for its first win of the 2012 campaign. The Mavericks accomplished just that as junior attacker Mike Marzocca, senior attacker Sal Spinelli and sophomore midfielder Patrick Hodapp all scored hat tricks to help propel Mercy past the Cardinals, 10-7, at Purple Rider Stadium.

(Mar. 10, 2012) – On Saturday, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse squad dropped an East Coast Conference affair to #1 and defending national champions Mercyhurst College, 10-4 in Purchase, N.Y. With the win, the Lakers improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the league. Following the loss, the Mavericks fell to 0-3 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (Mar. 6, 2012) – On Tuesday afternoon, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team ventured up to Colchester, Vt. and dropped a non-conference match to St. Michael’s College by a final score of 9-5 at Duffy Field. With the win, the Purple Knights improved to 1-0 overall. Following the defeat, the Mavericks slipped to 0-2 on the year.

Men’s Lacrosse Opens Season with Triple-Overtime Heartbreaker to Chestnut Hill, 7-6
PURCHASE, N.Y. (Feb. 25, 2012) – On Saturday, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team opened up its third season of play in program history against East Coast Conference-opponent Chestnut Hill College at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, N.Y. The Mavericks dropped the game in heartbreaking fashion as the Griffins scored the winning goal in triple-overtime, 7-6.

Men's Lacrosse Ranked Ninth in First USILA Preseason Coaches Poll
PERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 14, 2012) - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) coaches' preseason rankings came out today and the Mercy College men's lacrosse squad was slotted ninth in the nation amongst Division II. The Mavericks received 37 votes.

Men's Lacrosse Ranked Fifth in East Coast Conference Preseason Poll; T.J. DiCarlo Voted Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 10, 2012) - The East Coast Conference office announced the league's head coaches' picks for the 2012 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll and the Mercy College Mavericks were selected fifth out of the 11-team conference. In addition, junior goalkeeper T.J. DiCarlo was voted the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Men’s Lacrosse Signs Six to National Letters of Intent; Ranked 7th Nationally in Inside Lacrosse Face-off Magazine Preseason Poll
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 30 2011) – The Mercy College men’s lacrosse team has signed six recruits to National Letters of Intent for the spring 2013 season, Head Coach Steve Manitta announced today. These recruits will join a third-year squad recently ranked seventh in the Inside Lacrosse Face-off Magazine Preseason Poll. In addition, four Mavericks were named preseason All-Americans.
