Mercy Men's Lacrosse Hosts Holiday Toy Drive
The Mercy College men's lacrosse team is joining in the holiday spirit, and is hosting a toy drive on campus in support of the Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry. The Mercy community will have the opportunity to donate new, unwrapped toys at various locations on the main college campus in Dobbs Ferry.
Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to the men's basketball game against St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, December 11, or the women's basketball game against St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, December 18, will receive free admission to that respective game.
Additionally, faculty, staff, and students can bring new, unwrapped
toys to the Athletics Department offices, located at the south end of Main Hall.
"It's obvious that a smiling child and a happy family is what the holiday season is all about," said Mercy head men's lacrosse coach Steve Manitta. "The Mercy College Athletic Department is extremely motivated to create this happiness for families in our area."
The Children's Village works in partnership with families to help society's most vulnerable children to become educationally proficient, economically productive, and socially responsible members of their communities.
