ECC Names DiCarlo Goalkeeper of the Week for Third Time This Season

The East Coast Conference announced weekly award winners for men's lacrosse today, and for the third time this season, Mercy sophomore T. J. DiCarlo was named the Goalkeeper of the Week. The award is for the week ending April 18.

The Farmingdale, N.Y., native was spectacular in goal in leading Mercy to a 2-0 week. He made 38 total saves with a save percentage of .731. Against Dominican, he made 17 saves in a 15-10 win. Against Molloy, he made 21 saves, while allowing just four goals, as Mercy won 8-4.

On the season, DiCarlo has a 10-1 record, with a 6.61 goals against average. He has made 139 saves, and owns a save percentage of .665. Additionally, he has scooped up 27 ground balls and causes eight turnovers.

The Mavericks are currently ranked #7 in the latest USILA Coaches Poll. Mercy has been ranked in seven of the eight polls this season. The next game is Saturday, April 23, when Mercy will host two-time defending national champion #3 C. W. Post. That game will take place in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., at 12:00 p.m.
