Without playing a game last week, the Mercy College men’s lacrosse team moved up in the latest USILA Coaches Poll to the sixth spot.
Last week, Mercy was scheduled to face then-third ranked C. W. Post, but the game was postponed due to unplayable field conditions. That game, now featuring two top-six teams, will happen this Wednesday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m.
LeMoyne College took over the #1 spot in the poll, earning six of the seven first place votes. C.W. Post improved to second place, followed by Mercyhurst and former #1 Limestone. On Saturday, Mercyhurst upset Limestone, 12-8.
Adelphi is now #5, followed by Mercy, NYIT, and Dowling. Mars Hill and St. Michael’s round out the Top Ten.
The Mavericks are 10-1 on the season, and 6-1 in the East Coast Conference.
