Many Firsts for Mercy Lacrosse

The past week brought many firsts for Mercy lacrosse.  The middle of the week was highlighted with team practice that involved shoveling the turf off.  The work seemed like something one would witness upstate but we made the hard work entertaining.  The team was entertained by the musical talents of mercy idol winner Frank Terlizzo.

The on Friday we had our first scrimmage, it was good to get out on a full field and see what we needed to work on and see how we matched up against another team.  The scrimmage was successful, we learned what we needed to work on and by the end of the scrimmage we were making the corrections ourselves.

Now we are focused on this Sundays opening game, everyone is very excited for the game.  I can’t believe how fast the season came and now it is just days away.

Practice this week will be intense with everyone giving it their all to keep their new positions and to push one another to get better.
